REPLANT! For the end is near!!!!

Well. . . . I woke up this morning. Is that a good sign?

The rumor is the Mayans predicted the world would end today, but nobody has told me what time this is all supposed to go down! Do I plan on eating lunch? I have a meeting at 1 pm to help plan a senior garden, there are a bunch of sheep that are staring at me hungrily (is that a word?), I have at least one stall to clean, and the rabbits are due to deliver kits anytime now.

How much work am I obligated to do today?

I would hate for the world to end while I am only half finished with a project. I hate leaving things unfinished. . . But what if the world does end?

I intend to survive, and survive I will. There is no way I am going to miss a front row seat to the biggest event of our species' history!!!!!!

Presently the greenhouse is filled with spinach, lettuce and tomato seedlings. The hoop houses are loaded with carrots, greens, herbs, and parsnips. So, if the world ends I have a decent head start on survival. What better way to celebrate the end of the world than a fresh salad? But what then?

Here's the plan - After we finish up feeding and cleaning I am going to spend the rest of the day planting seeds to replace all of the goodies I am going to eat when Armageddon comes. I will make sure to plant enough for you and yours as well!!! Come on down and we will have a  'Planet Earth Reboot' party.

Now, should life on earth continue as normal, we will just call today's activities 'preparation for the coming season'. The good weather recently has been adequate that we will be harvesting the aforementioned veggies soon anyway. It just means that we will get an extra harvest in before the spring crops are put in the ground.

Should we survive the day, we at Pearson's Town wish you and yours a quiet and comfortable Christmas!!

Peace be with you.
