And then there were three. . .

So I meant to post this Monday, but the days are getting crazier, and with less interns there is less time in the day to do things like nurse my computer habit. . .

Early on in her stay, Sierra (our former artist) painted a mural (in my absence) and it sat in hiding for a long time (lest we scare the sisters, or some other normal people). You see, the mural was a monochromatic portrait of the inaugural farm crew in life size, but just to add some flare, she added what would be our "pirate" flag. . . where we pirate farmers.

What is so weird about this mural is that: 1) it was painted in my absence (not so weird) and 2) When we finally found a spot for it, and put it up against the wall, each of the figures was exactly life size. Looking back it makes me sad to be missing such good friends and coworkers. . .
And one at a time we disappear! Big Mike had already gone on to head Catherine's Cupboard.(Sorry about the silly face Emily!)
Sierra returned to Wesleyan College. . .
Emily has vanished and is rumored to be preparing for her busy, busy year here at Saint Joe's.

For those of you keeping track. . . we are pleased to announce that Pearson's Town harvested 120 pounds of produce today for Catherine's Cupboard Food Pantry. That brings our current total to 290 pounds of fresh, organic, healthy food from our gardens to the plates of those who might not otherwise be able to afford them. Here is to you hard working folks in these tough times. . . . enjoy!
